ETS CIVIL RIGHTS TITLE VI POLICY STATEMENT

Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, 42 U.S.C. § 2000d, et seq., provides that no person shall be subjected to discrimination on the basis of race, color, or national origin under any program or activity that receives Federal financial assistance. Title VI and its implementing regulations require that recipients of Federal financial assistance take responsible steps to ensure meaningful access to the benefits, services, information, and other important portions of their programs and business activities.

Educational Testing Service develops its products and services and engages its business activities without regard to race, color, or national origin, in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act. ETS works to ensure that no person is excluded from participation in, denied the benefits of, or is otherwise subjected to discrimination, whether or not the products, services, or business activities are federally funded.

The ETS Title VI Coordinator is responsible for initiating and monitoring Title VI activities, preparing required reports, and other responsibilities as required by 23 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) 200 and 49 Code of Federal Regulations 21.
