Abstract

A survey of 48 different aptitude and achievement tests administered to various populations shows that (a) the easier tests tend to have negatively skewed, and the more difficult tests positively skewed, score distributions; (b) most of the score distributions are at least slightly platykurtic, some of them distinctly so.
