Abstract

CAWRS also has explored a wide variety of measurement methods, such as self-rating and others’ rating scales, situational judgment tests, anchoring vignettes, conditional reasoning, the implicit association test, and others. The purpose of this paper is to review some of this work, particularly as it pertains to the measurement of 21st century skills in K-12 education. I will touch on other areas, but that is the focus. This paper begins with a brief history and justification for why there is interest especially now in 21st century skills, and what is meant by that term.
