Yi Qi is a senior research project manager in ETS’s Research & Development division. She joined the organization in 2008. She completed her master’s at University of Missouri-Columbia, majoring in education administration, and received a certificate of advanced study (CAS) in instructional design, development & evaluation at Syracuse University. In recent years, her work has centered on policy and evaluation issues related to teacher education and how best to understand and measure teaching practices. She has worked on large-scale studies on using classroom observation protocols, along with other measures to evaluate teaching quality. Currently, Qi supports projects on science learning and assessment, keystroke studies, and the use of formative assessment as a mechanism for improving teaching and learning in K-12 classrooms.
