Maxwell Wise is a data analysis manager for K-12 assessments in the Research & Development division of ETS. He is currently responsible for managing the data analysis activities for the California K-12 assessments: the California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress (CAASPP) and the English Language Proficiency Assessments for California (ELPAC). He previously coordinated, planned, and performed data analysis tasks for CAASPP as a data analyst. In that role, he also ®performed data analysis for the Partnership for Assessment of Readiness for College and Careers (PARCC), the Educational Records Bureau’s Computer Adaptive Achievement Test (ERB-CAAT), the California Standards Test (CST), the Maryland High School Assessment (MDHSA), and the Cognitively Based Assessment as, of, and for Learning (CBAL®) exam.
Wise joined ETS in 2009 after receiving his B.S. in statistics from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, and has since earned his M.S. in statistics from Texas A & M University.
