Chen Li is a principal research data analyst at ETS. She joined the organization in 2010 after completing two master’s in statistics and system engineering at Rutgers University. She has worked at ETS for 11 years on various operational and research projects. Her work concentrates on automatic scoring of the TOEFL®, GRE®, PRAXIS®, and CBAL® assessments; the use of a wide variety of machine learning and data analysis methods for measuring the validity and fairness of examinations for different subpopulations; developing and analyzing remote tests’ processing logs; exploring new methods of measuring teacher effectiveness and student abilities; and optimizing human scoring assignments.
