Yue Helena Jia is an executive director in the National and International Assessments center in the Research & Development division at ETS. She received an M.S. and a Ph.D. in statistical science at Southern Methodist University in 2004 and 2007, respectively. Jia oversees operational psychometric work and research on large-scale educational surveys, including the United States National Assessment of Educational Progress, the Programme for International Student Assessment, and the Programme for the International Assessment of Adult Competencies. She has extensive experience in design, analysis, and score reporting of educational survey assessments. Jia’s research interests focus on item response theory latent regression models, design of complex survey assessments, linking of test scores in group-score assessment, adaptive testing, survey sampling, and variance estimation. She has produced journal articles, book chapters, and technical papers in those areas. Jia has served as a reviewer for several international conferences and journals.
