Enruo Guo is a senior R&D UX/UI specialist with the Research Labs in the Research & Development division at ETS. She received a Ph.D. in human computer interaction in 2015 and an M.S. in computer science in 2012, both from Iowa State University.
As a UX researcher and designer in a cross-functional team focusing on improving cross-cutting skills for early career job seekers, Guo works closely with target users to discover their needs and iteratively getting feedback on prototype solutions in an Agile environment. Before she joined the Research Labs, she worked in the Research Technology group, where she implemented modern design practices and created innovative, user-friendly digital assessments and learning products. She has served as the UX/UI lead on a wide range of big educational and IOP projects including FACT, ADEPT, EPCAL, FORTE, ABC Tool, and C.R.I.S.P. Additionally, she has made substantial contributions to external grants and contracts such as ones for National Assessment of Educational Progress, Programme for International Student Assessment, DAT-CROSS, Reading for Understanding, and the Army Research Grant.
Before she came to ETS, Guo worked at a software consulting company in Champaign, Illinois. Serving as the UX designer and front-end developer, she helped clients from various industrial settings make customized software that met their business and production needs.
