About the ParaPro Assessment

States and school districts use the ParaPro Assessment to measure:

  • the reading, writing and math skills and knowledge of prospective and practicing paraprofessionals
  • their ability to apply those skills and knowledge when assisting in classroom instruction

Initially designed to meet the requirements of the No Child Left Behind (NCLB) Act, the ParaPro Assessment now satisfies the requirements that were left in place with the Every Student Succeeds Act when it replaced the NCLB.
